China launched a new satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province on Monday.

A Long March-2C rocket, carrying an SEO satellite, blasted off at 11:02 a.m. and has sent the satellite to its preset orbit.

The launch marked the 664th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
