Iranian Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 'There is no mention of a "60-day deadline" in the text of the memorandum of understanding, and the Islamic Republic of Iran never formulates its policies under pressure, ultimatums, or time limits. All decisions are solely based on an assessment of national interests and security. What was stipulated in the agreement was a 60-day period for discussions on two main issues: "lifting sanctions" and the "nuclear issue," which could be extended if no agreement was reached. Due to the blatant and extensive violation of the June 28th memorandum of understanding by the United States, just a few weeks after its signing, no negotiations began, and consequently, the issue of the 60-day deadline completely lost its relevance. The main focus of the country is on managing current affairs, while at the same time, the armed forces are fully vigilant and monitoring all developments.'
