In Hengdian, Zhejiang Province, tourists get the chance to become the stars of their own short dramas. Visitors can choose a script, put on period costumes and makeup and perform in real film sets with guidance from a production team at Hengdian World Studios. In about an hour and for around 300 yuan per person (about $44), they can walk away with a professionally filmed short drama starring themselves. Since its launch in early August, the experience has continued to gain popularity, expanding the ways visitors can engage with Hengdian's film-themed attractions.
