The Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Academy (HKATA) has launched the first aerospace and AI curriculum system in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) for students aged 3-18. The program is designed to help meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the sector.
The curriculum integrates complex aerospace technology into six themes: space science, rocket engineering, artificial satellites, mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, and aerospace history and development. It aims to promote more standardized and professional aerospace education in HKSAR.
It also features a nine-level aerospace certification pathway, including primary school foundation courses, secondary school advanced courses and professional grade certification. Through a four-stage teaching model of theory, simulation, making and hands-on practice, it provides students with a progressive pathway to develop scientific research skills.
