China's Chen Yufei recovered from a one-game deficit to reach the women's singles round of 32 at the BWF World Championships in New Delhi on Tuesday, while two Chinese women's doubles pairs also went through in straight games.

The fourth-seeded Chen was tested by Lo Sin Yan (Happy Lo) from China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) in her opening match, dropping the first game before turning the contest around to claim an 18-21, 21-8, 21-11 victory.

Chen said she struggled with the conditions and her own pace early in the match, but found a better rhythm in the second and third games.

"I made some adjustments after the first game, such as getting myself more excited and moving faster on the court," she noted.

Chen will next face Ukraine's Polina Buhrova, who overcame the UAE's Prakriti Bharath 21-13, 20-22, 21-14 to advance.
