Ecuadorian President Daniel Roy-Gilchrist Noboa Azín began his eight-day state visit to China on August 16, a trip that comes as the two countries mark a decade of their comprehensive strategic partnership and seek to turn growing trade ties into broader cooperation.
CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Quito to hear residents' impressions of China and their understanding of the countries' cooperation. Residents said that China's technology sector is developing rapidly, positioning the country at the forefront of fields such as artificial intelligence and innovation. When it comes to bilateral cooperation, Ecuadorians are well aware that their country exports agricultural products such as shrimp, cocoa and flowers to China, while also hoping to draw on China's strengths in high-tech sectors such as automobiles and mobile phones.
