Eight people died and three others have been taken to hospital after a building fire in Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City in north China's Hebei Province, early Thursday morning, according to local authorities.
The fire occurred around 3:40 a.m., and was brought under control by 4:30 a.m. Firefighters and emergency crews rushed to the scene. The incident is still being probed.
