An international youth friendship camp was recently inaugurated in Ningxia. Outstanding young delegates from nine countries and thirteen regions, including Canada, South Korea and Indonesia, assembled alongside local youngsters to take part in a comprehensive program of cultural exchanges, goodwill dialogues and on-site observations – answering a transcontinental call along the ancient Silk Road for young people everywhere.
During a series of workshops on intangible cultural heritage, the young participants engaged with traditional crafts such as modeling dough figurines, painting fans, practicing Chinese calligraphy and paper-cutting. These hands-on sessions helped them become immersed in the enduring allure and aesthetics of traditional Chinese culture.
