US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday what he described as "the most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country." 

"This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale," Trump posted on Truth Social, accusing Iran of failing to take the opportunity to make a deal.

Trump also ‌warned ⁠of economic consequences against any country that ‌supported ‌Tehran or provided "any ‌type of lifeline ‌to Iran." 

"ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, ⁠airports, ‌or government entities to provide any ‌type of lifeline to Iran ​will itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences," Trump said.

Claiming that this will be "an ECONOMIC D-DAY," he urged allies to stand with the United States to "isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat."

He ⁠did ⁠not specify what ​specific steps ​Washington ‌would take against such a ‌country and ⁠did not list any country by ⁠name.
