China's domestically developed 115,000-tonne refined oil tanker was officially delivered to its owner on Friday. Its engine and other key equipment were domestically produced, while its cargo capacity, speed and fuel efficiency have reached internationally advanced levels.

The tanker is 249.8 meters long and 44 meters wide, with a fully loaded cargo capacity of 115,000 tonnes. It can carry about 830,000 barrels of refined oil in a single voyage.

With strong port compatibility, the vessel can call at most major oil terminals worldwide and is designed to serve major international energy trade routes.

The tanker features domestically produced core equipment, including its engine, along with a high-efficiency propeller and energy-saving systems to reduce fuel consumption during voyages.

It is also equipped with advanced desulfurization and denitrification systems, which significantly reduce sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides and carbon emissions, meeting the latest environmental emission standards of the International Maritime Organization.

Latest data shows that global tanker orders surged in 2026, with Chinese shipyards securing more than 80% of new tanker orders worldwide. Domestic shipyards are operating with full order books and have begun standardized and serial mass production, with production schedules extending through 2030.
