China has taken delivery of a new self-developed multifunctional deep-sea engineering ship, CNOOC Offshore Oil 292. Equipped with an advanced Dynamic Positioning Class 2 (DP2) system and a full-turn electric propulsion system, the vessel can operate stably in open waters worldwide. With heavy-lifting equipment and intelligent power systems, it cuts fuel consumption by 15% and supports deep-sea construction, maintenance and emergency operations, boosting China's offshore energy development capabilities.
