Today's industrial robots are already highly capable, but most are designed for specific tasks in controlled environments. Humanoid robots, however, promise machines that can adapt to the complex, unpredictable world humans inhabit. 

But intelligence alone is not enough. Robots also need to learn how to move, feel and interact with the physical world. We spoke with Noitom Robotics' CMO Roch Nakajima about why embodied data could become the missing link in the next generation of robotics and where China stands in that race.
