Ronald Sakolsky, the US teacher who helped fund Yin Yuzhen's desertification control efforts 27 years ago, landed at Ordos Ejin Horo International Airport in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on August 23.

Yin Yuzhen was there to welcome him. When they met, the two shared a warm embrace, marking their long-awaited reunion and the beginning of a new chapter in their remarkable friendship, which has transcended borders and time.
