At least 30 dead in landslide at Guinea waste site

A landslide at the Dar-es-Salam landfill on the outskirts of Conakry, the capital of Guinea, killed 30 people and injured 22 others on Sunday, according to the Guinean government.

Heavy rain triggered the collapse of a massive mound of trash, burying nearby homes. Rescue and clearing operations continue as workers and residents search for people who may still be buried.
