This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), with the annual summit set to take place soon in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Belarus is an SCO member state. A CGTN stringer took to the streets of Minsk, the capital of Belarus, to hear what locals in Belarus hope the summit will bring.

One interviewee said the priority is practical outcomes in transport and green ecology, hoping they will bring real benefits to ordinary people. Another pointed to digitalization, expressing their hope for closer cooperation between China and Belarus in information technology and artificial intelligence and for greater sharing of development experience and ideas.
