US to raise tariffs on Canadian cars, trucks, auto parts and steel

The United States will increase tariffs on Canadian cars, trucks, auto parts and steel to 50%, starting from January 1, 2027, President Donald Trump said in a social media post on Monday.

"Build in the U.S. and there are ZERO TARIFFS," he added in the post.
