- China has launched a national emergency response after a mudslide struck a port along the China-Nepal border in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, the Ministry of Emergency Management said on Wednesday.

- Three people have been killed and 265 others remain missing as of 8 p.m. Wednesday after the mudslide in China's Xizang Autonomous Region, officials said.
