The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum will be held at the Beijing International Convention Center from September 15 to 17, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang said on Thursday.
This year's forum will focus on building consensus on stability and promoting security governance, featuring four plenary sessions on strategic stability and the international order, regional conflicts, security challenges in the Asia-Pacific and the role of developing countries in global security.
The forum will also host eight parallel sessions covering a range of security issues, including major-power relations, regional security in Asia, maritime security, the military use of emerging technologies and space security.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum. The fourth China-Africa Peace and Security Forum will also be held alongside the event.
