A Chinese military Y-20 transport aircraft has been dispatched to support emergency rescue operations in Gyirong County, Shigatse City, following a severe mudslide on the Himalayan border of Nepal and China's Xizang Autonomous Region.

Operated by the Western Theater Command Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the Y-20 aircraft carried a military guidance team to coordinate on-the-ground joint disaster relief efforts.
