An emergency rescue support team and disaster specialists reached the bank opposite the barrier-lake dam in Gyirong County, Xigaze, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, at 2:02 p.m. on August 28.

The team is now conducting on-site monitoring and hazard assessments. Drone scans and water-level sensors are used to collect real-time data to support emergency response efforts.
