'Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping' to air across SCO countries

"Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping," a multilingual TV program produced by China Media Group (CMG) that features quotes from ancient Chinese classics used by Chinese President Xi Jinping in his speeches and articles, will begin airing on mainstream media outlets across Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries from Sunday, ahead of Xi's attendance at the 2026 SCO Summit and his state visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The program will be broadcast by major media organizations, including Kyrgyzstan's National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation (UTRK), the Belarus branch of the Mir International Broadcasting TV and Radio Company, the Television and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan, Khabar TV, Pakistan Television Corporation, Russia's National Media Group, Russian Gazette, Tajikistan's Jahonnamo TV, the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency.

In recent days, these mainstream media outlets have run previews of the program, generating widespread interest and anticipation.

Focusing on topics including economic development, technological innovation, ecological conservation and people's well-being, the multilingual program draws on quotations from Chinese classics cited by Xi in his speeches, articles and conversations.

Through an international perspective, the program explores the historical and cultural roots of Xi's approach to governance and presents China's experience in addressing global challenges.

On Friday, Slovo Kyrgyzstana, a Kyrgyz government newspaper, published a preview on its front page and a detailed introduction to the program on its second page. The report said the program offers an international perspective on China's development in the new era, highlighting Xi's political wisdom and deep understanding of history and culture while showcasing China's perspectives on civilization and development.

The program's upcoming broadcast, it said, will provide audiences in SCO countries with a window into Xi's approach to governance and an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.

Since August 25, promotional posters for the program have been displayed on outdoor digital screens in the city centers of Bishkek, Moscow and Minsk, further building anticipation among local audiences.
