For more than five decades, Manat Eshimbekov, an equestrian coach from Kyrgyzstan, has devoted his life to horses. After retiring, he could have settled into a quiet life, but an invitation brought him to Urumqi in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to begin a new chapter as an equestrian coach. Now, the lifelong horseman has found a new arena to share his expertise, with a hope of bringing together the equestrian traditions of China and Kyrgyzstan.
