A mudslide triggered by a glacier collapse on the Nepal side of the China-Nepal border on August 26 has devastated communities near Gyirong Port in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. 

As rescue efforts continue, firefighters are racing against time and braving treacherous conditions to reach the hardest-hit areas.
