China's first batch of disaster relief supplies following the severe mudslide in Nepal arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday. Four Chinese tunnel rescue personnel arrived on the same flight to assist in rescue operations.
The supplies include urgently needed items such as tents, blankets, sleeping bags, compressed food and first-aid kits.
According to data released by Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the mudslide disaster that struck northern Nepal on August 26 had killed 675 people and left 2,498 others missing.
