How do you train the people who will power Kyrgyzstan's energy future?

CGTN reporter Li Jingjing visited the Luban Workshop in Bishkek, where young students are receiving hands-on training in energy, hydropower and water resources engineering. Jointly established by Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power and Kyrgyz State Technical University, the workshop gives students the opportunity to study in both Kyrgyzstan and China.

For Kyrgyzstan, which has significant hydropower potential and is expanding its hydropower sector, the Luban Workshop is helping develop more skilled professionals for the country's energy future.

Yet the workshop is more than a training program. It is helping strengthen China-Kyrgyzstan ties through education and people-to-people exchanges, reflecting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) spirit of mutual learning and shared development.
