At the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Egypt.

During President Xi's last state visit to Egypt in 2016, he and Egyptian President El-Sisi jointly inaugurated the expansion of the China-Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone. Over the past decade, the project has become a landmark of cooperation that aligns China's Belt and Road Initiative with Egypt's Vision 2030.
