Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday that China is making every effort to search for Chinese and foreign nationals who are missing in the mudslide disaster in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region.

China is taking all necessary measures to relocate and resettle those affected, provide medical treatment for the injured and prevent secondary disasters, Xi said in his opening remarks when meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

At the same time, China has sent rescuers to Nepal and provided emergency assistance, he said, adding that China is sincerely grateful to President Japarov for expressing condolences over the disaster.
