Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a welcome ceremony hosted by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on Monday. Xi's motorcade was escorted by a cavalry guard as he headed to Yntymak Ordo, the presidential administration building.

Xi arrived in Bishkek on Sunday for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2026 and a state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
