Authorities in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have dispatched eight heavy emergency vehicles to disaster-stricken Gyirong Port in neighboring Xizang Autonomous Region. The equipment includes flatbed trailers, ground mats and cranes. The move followed a national response request from the Ministry of Emergency Management and Ministry of Transport. The vehicles will clear roadblocks on the damaged G216 Gyirong Port segment. Upon arrival, the team will join local crews to reopen the route for relief supplies and rescue operations.
