Two years on, Wang Guan is back in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Revisiting Kyrgyz National University, he discovers how China-Kyrgyzstan people-to-people exchanges are evolving through the stories of young Chinese learners and a newly opened Book House of Works by President Xi Jinping. Over the past two years, the number of Chinese-language students has grown from 400 to 500 to about 1,400 today, while more Chinese literature, history and works on governance are finding their way into the campus. From a language to a book house, from young faces on campus to the SCO summit, these growing human and cultural ties offer a vivid picture of how China and Kyrgyzstan are coming to know each other better.
