Developing nations need industries to grow. But industries create emissions. Wealthier nations have already passed that phase, and now they enjoy high living standards while importing goods made in the Global South. So, who is really responsible for our warming planet? With extreme weather sweeping across Europe and the new energy transition dominating headlines, the way we measure climate responsibility is under the microscope.

Today, Peking University's Liu Gang and EU Commission expert Arvea Marieni sit down to untangle the climate debate. We're moving beyond the heavy academic theories to answer the big questions: Is the current system fair?
