Former Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf says deeper China-Egypt cooperation could offer a model for the wider Global South.

Dr. Sharaf made the remarks during an interview with our Ge Anna during, reflecting on Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Egypt and the deepening China-Egypt relationship.

He said China's transformation impressed him with its "speed, continuity and capacity to learn," adding that China's development experience is highly instructive, as progress is built through continuous accumulation, step by step.
