Rescue teams have logged 120 hours of non-stop monitoring at the barrier lake formed after the August 26 mudslide near Gyirong Port in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. They have collected some 2,700 data sets as of September 2, and flown 105 drone missions to survey upstream glaciers and landslide sites. The data is helping assess secondary disaster risks and keeping crews carrying out vital tasks safe.
