After two days of searching through mud and debris at the devastated Gyirong land port, a search-and-rescue dog was seen taking a much-needed rest, exhausted by the demanding search and intense heat.

The canine searcher is part of a rescue team that was airlifted to the area on August 31. Tuesday marks the seventh day since the devastating mudslide struck the China-Nepal border. Many people remain missing on both sides, as rescue teams continue searching through the debris.
