A vital land link to the disaster-hit Gyirong Port area has reopened after days of emergency repairs following last week’s deadly mudslide. 

National Highway 216 serves as the only land route into the border port. Its reopening enables rescue teams and heavy‑duty machinery to move into zones that could previously only be reached on foot or by helicopter.
