The China-Venezuela cooperation doesn't concern any third party and should not be subjected to interference by any third party, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun on Thursday. 

Guo made the remarks in response to a media query that how China would protect its interests in Venezuela and whether it could rely on international law after US Energy Secretary Chris Wright claimed that China "won't have any debt claims to the revenue" from new oil production in Venezuela during a regular press conference. 

China-Venezuela cooperation is protected by international law and laws of both countries, Guo said, adding that China's lawful rights and interests in Venezuela must be protected.
