US forces have diverted 86 commercial vessels as part of the maritime blockade on Iran, according to Central Command.
Three vessels have been disabled and two boarded for inspection, CENTCOM said Wednesday.
Iran has not yet responded to the US claim, but on Tuesday, Tehran added 11 more ships to its Strait of Hormuz blacklist, bringing the total to 56.
