September 3 marks the 81st anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, has hailed the sacrifices made by the Chinese people in defeating the Japanese aggressors and called for upholding the spirit of resisting aggression and cherishing peace.
