China keeps mudslide rescuers safe with radar and drones

China has rolled out a "ground radar plus aerial survey" early warning system in mudslide-hit Gyirong port, Xizang Autonomous Region, to protect rescue crews from secondary disaster risks in real time. One team is using ground radar and drones in the port's mudslide zone to track mountain slope movement as it happens. Another team is upstream at the barrier lake, mapping high-risk zones with high precision to eliminate blind spots.
