Chinese mainland has condemned Taiwan authorities for deliberately distorting the facts.
The Taiwan authorities recently released the "2026 PLA Military Power Report" and the "Five-Year Force Buildup and Administration Plan Report," which accuse the PLA of regularly deploying ships and aircraft around the island for combat readiness patrols.
Responding to the claims, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin said on Friday that the reports are nothing more than excuses for the Democratic Progressive Party authorities to deliberately stoke fears of war and advance their pursuit of "independence" through military means.
