Rescuers in east China's Jiangxi Province evacuated 1,127 people after Typhoon Saudel's remnants triggered severe flooding in Taihe County. 

Rising river levels and extensive water logging hit the area on September 4. Local teams deployed rubber boats for door-to-door searches, using makeshift ladders to rescue elderly residents trapped in their homes. 

More than 12,000 staff worked around the clock to save lives – with zero casualties reported.
