CGTN

China's Ministry of Emergency Management has dispatched a working group and launched emergency responses after a landslide hit Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province on Saturday.

The disaster occurred in Mingkeng Village, Gaoping Town. Authorities immediately ordered all-out searches for trapped people, precise verification of casualties and the missing, and rapid mobilization of professional rescue and communication teams to the affected area.

Rescuers are required to conduct scientific operations, step up hydrological and geological monitoring, and guard against secondary disasters.

Both a Level-IV national natural disaster relief response and a Level-IV national geological disaster emergency response have been activated.

A national work safety survey team equipped with slope radar devices has been sent to support on-site rescue work.

Local fire services have deployed 224 firefighters with 41 rescue vehicles, while communication and reconnaissance drones have been launched to assist disaster relief operations.
