Local authorities have rolled out comprehensive cross‑border humanitarian and information‑sharing measures at a Chinese‑foreign media briefing on the August 26 mudslide in Gyirong County, Xizang Autonomous Region. 

China has set up dedicated communication channels for foreign nationals' families and established regular data‑sharing mechanisms with Nepal, while dispatching experts and providing emergency relief supplies at Nepal's request. 

Authorities also confirmed that 261 foreign nationals from 23 countries remain missing in the disaster.

Relevant information has been promptly notified to the embassies of concerned countries in China via diplomatic channels. 

A 24‑hour dedicated hotline has been opened for family members of missing foreign nationals. It has received 509 calls in total, with timely updates provided to call‑in family members. 

Communication and information‑notification mechanisms have been set up with relevant countries. Through the China‑Nepal disaster‑prevention information notification channel, China shares daily meteorological, hydrological, glacial‑lake and glacier‑related data with Nepal. 

At Nepal's request, the Chinese government has dispatched specialists in tunnel rescue and DNA identification, and delivered emergency material assistance. 

The Xizang Autonomous Regional government has provided Nepal with relief supplies including 320 tonnes of Bailey bridge components.
