China says Japan must fulfill its obligations to destroy chemical weapons abandoned in China during its invasion. On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning commented on a visit by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), along with permanent representatives from 12 countries. The delegation was in China from August 31 to September 5 to inspect the destruction facilities. Mao says the visit is a reminder of the severe harm these weapons continue to cause to the Chinese people and environment.
