A medical team of the Chinese military arrived in Vientiane, Laos on September 6 for the Peace Train 2026 joint humanitarian medical rescue exercise. The exercise focuses on disaster medical rescue, joint on-site search and rescue, evacuation and epidemic prevention. It aims to enhance capabilities of both militaries in joint medical-service command, joint rescue and joint prevention and control. The Chinese side will also provide medical services for Lao military personnel and civilians.
