At least 10 people were killed and 64 others injured after fireworks stored on church premises exploded during a patron saint festival in Santa Maria Canchesda, in central Mexico's Temascalcingo municipality, on Saturday night, authorities said.

The blast damaged nearby buildings, and the cause remains under investigation.
