As interest in learning Chinese continues to grow in Russia amid deepening people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries, a new Chinese-learning textbook series has made its debut at the 39th Moscow International Book Fair, offering learners a more practical and interactive way to study the language.

The textbook series Learn Chinese with Ease, jointly developed by CGTN and Beijing Language and Culture University Press (BLCUP), was unveiled at the book fair held from September 2 to 6. Designed in line with the standards of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK 3.0), the series takes into account foreign learners' cognitive habits, practical needs and language-learning characteristics.

Combining scenario-based videos filmed on location, short grammar lessons and an online interactive learning platform, the series integrates vocabulary and grammar into everyday situations, aiming to help learners at different levels better understand and master the Chinese language.

After browsing the book at the event, Russian middle school student Olga said that the textbook's scenarios were engaging, story-driven and closely connected to daily life.

The Russian version of the online interactive learning platform also drew many visitors, who tried out its interactive features. Many said the ability to practice Chinese conversations anytime was particularly convenient.

The growing popularity of Chinese language learning in Russia has fueled demand for teaching materials that are practical, engaging and easy to use. With its accessible and application-oriented approach, Learn Chinese with Ease has become a popular choice among learners of Chinese overseas.

At this year's book fair, BLCUP displayed more than 130 titles, prominently featuring flagship textbooks including Learn Chinese with Ease, HSK Standard Course and Chinese Unlocked: A Comprehensive Course Textbook, as well as a selection of books on Chinese culture.

The book fair opened on September 2, with China participating as the Guest of Honor country under the theme "Reading China." The Chinese exhibition offered Russian readers an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture through books.
