Gray cranes flock to golden fields in Xinjiang

Thousands of gray cranes make a stopover in the golden wheat fields of Jimunai County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, during their migration southward. They forage in the fields, then take flight together against the autumn sky, creating a striking scene alongside passing camel herds. The wetlands and farmland here provide important stopover and feeding grounds for migratory birds, with ongoing conservation efforts helping to protect their habitat.
