September is the season of harvest. Early rice has begun to be reaped in Ulanhot City, in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Thanks to abundant water resources from rivers and favorable cold-region growing conditions, the rice plants are thriving with full, plump grains. Large harvesters are moving across the paddies in fully mechanized operations.
