What do you carry when the road ahead is unknown?

In 1934, young Red Army soldiers left their homes in southern Jiangxi and set out on a journey that would become the Long March. They carried little, walked much of the way on foot and wore through pairs of straw sandals as the road stretched on.

Ninety years later, the roads and the hardships, are different. But uncertainty can still leave us with familiar questions: Do I keep going? What do I leave behind? And what is worth carrying forward?
